| Rethymnon, as a part of Crete belongs to the Mediterranean climatic zone with a climate that is mild. The winter is mild and humid with enough rain and mountain snow in the areas of the country. Snowfall is rare in the lowlands, but quite common in mountains. Generally the weather and the atmosphere can be quite damp, depending on how close you are to the sea. During the summer the average temperature ranges between 25-30 degrees (Celsius). South of Rethymno, the temperature is higher and there are more sunny days during the summer months and during the winter. |
